HARMONY WITH HORSES
 “Harmony with Horses” is
an opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the understanding of
equine communication. Held
on a monthly schedule at the BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding and
Education
Center
in Harvard,
IL,
this program is hosted by originator and nationally known clinician Tom
Chambers.
These programs are designed for horse owners and
non-owners alike.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own horses (stabling
available) or to use one of the gentle horses owned by BraveHearts.
There will be three different one-day clinics held on a regular
basis that will guide students through specific areas of horsemanship:
1.
Understanding horse
psychology and equine communication.
2.
Overcoming fear and
increasing confidence with horses.
3.
Working as a partner
with your horse.
These clinics will use exercises developed by Tom
Chambers to teach horse and rider at the same time, and will include
both ground work techniques and mounted lessons.
In the “partnership” clinic, the addition of calf
sorting will allow riders to understand the concept of working in
harmony with your horse for a common goal.
These one-day clinics will start
at 9:00 AM
and will conclude at 4:00 PM.
Lunch will be included,
and Tom Chambers will personally instruct all classes. Coggins tests
will be
required for all horses being trailered in. All clinics will take place
at BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding and
Education
Center
in Harvard,
IL.
Cost for each one-day
clinic is $125 per rider, and each class will be limited to 8 students.
Dates for 2010 clinics to be
announced.
